An EIC Tenant Success Story
HowToMoodle

HowToMoodle (now known as the Hubken Group) are perhaps one of the finest examples of how EIC has helped a business to grow from an ambitious start-up, to a leader in their field.
Amongst the very first companies to be housed here, they deliver effective e-learning platform support services that help to create engaging learning experiences, specialising in learning management systems Moodle and Totara Learn.
In 2006, founder Ray Lawrence needed professional office accommodation for a start-up business that could be expanded as needed. The search bought him to the e-Innovation Centre and he found that the Telford campus was ideal as they could run training courses from the campus and arrange onsite accommodation for participants.
This, along with the opportunities to work with other companies in the building and also the service they receive from the EIC management and support team, they say are major factors in their long-term occupancy. From a team of two in 2006 they have expanded, moving to larger offices within the building on three occasions and today employ a team of twenty people. They continue to go from strength to strength with recent achievements including a ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ certification and also receiving an award in 2017, being named ‘Best Totara Project’.
“I founded HowToMoodle to help make a difference, because learning and development levels the playing field and creates opportunity. Our focus is to empower and enable you to achieve your vision. We believe inspiration gained from the transfer of knowledge and skills, coupled with expert support, are the key to your success.”
